What customers say?

“ Delicious pasta and main course...I chose fish and it was amazingly tender juicy with crispy skin. ”

- Stewart Wan -

“ We dined here with a reservation for the Kyomachiya Cinque Lunch. While the ambiance and overall experience were enjoyable we found the food options to be somewhat limited, especially for those avoiding pork. The staff was accommodating and kindly prepared a pork-free pasta, but due to the language barrier it was a bit challenging to confirm specific ingredients and options. We arrived right at opening and experienced a longer than expected wait even though we were the only guests at the time, but we assumed this was because the dishes were being freshly prepared. Overall, a good restaurant with quality food, but a bit more clarity on menu options and dietary accommodations would improve the experience. ”

“ So I better start with the tortellini. It is damn incredible. I think it might even be perfect. You might say the flavors were genius. That might not make sense but lord was it right. Hell the steak and pork were also damn near perfect too. One odd thing worth noting: the space is small but it has direct light above making it feel intimate and private. This might seem strange to mention but it is very thoughtful in design. It takes a busy atmosphere and makes it cozy. It is special. I will return here for sure. ”

“ Really nice Italian, and very affordable too! Very popular with the young lovers from Kyoto. ”

- Jordy Meow (Offbeat Japan) -

“ The waiter was very helpful and spoke very good English. The food was very delicious, although small portions as it is a more classy restaurant and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. ”

“ This was an incredible dining experience due to the quality food and great service. Initially surprised by Italian food in Kyoto, this restaurant combined the best of both cuisines. The homemade pastas and sauces were delicious, and the specialty steak was so special. Will be on our recommendations list for others traveling to Kyoto! ”

“ We weren’t sure what we wanted for dinner and just happened to stumble across this restaurant while walking around looking for somewhere to eat — and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made! We ordered the meal set (not sure if it’s a limited-time option), which included pasta and steak dishes with an appetiser, along with the pork shoulder. It was honestly some of the best food we’ve ever had. Everything was absolutely delicious. Considering the amount and the quality of the food, it’s 100% worth it. The female server was excellent — incredibly attentive and genuinely kind. She served us with such warmth and respect, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We ended up spending around ¥5000 each but if you just got a meal and drink definitely a good price considering the quality of the food! We’ll definitely be bringing our family here the next time we’re in Japan!! ”

“ Nice Italian restaurant with some unique menu. The fresh pasta tested really good. They can arrange menu for your size of group. Would love to come back. The space is not big and so a reservation recommended. ”
